What is Talon's Open House?

Talon’s Open House is an opportunity for prospective students and their supporters to experience Laramie County Community College (LCCC) up close. Attendees can explore academic and career pathways, tour residence halls, connect with faculty, staff, and current students, and enjoy a free brunch!

When is Talon's Open House?

Saturday, October 3, 2026 from 9:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

Where is the event held?

Talon’s Open House will take place at LCCC’s Cheyenne Campus at 1400 E College Drive in Cheyenne, WY. 

Check-in will take place in the Clay Pathfinder Building's 1st Floor Lobby.

What time should I check in?

Check-in will begin at 9:30 a.m. in the Clay Pathfinder Building (1st Floor Lobby). While check-in will occur throughout the duration of the event, we suggest arriving at the beginning of the event to ensure you have enough time to visit the activities and areas of campus that intrigue you the most!

What is Talon's Open House?

Talon's Open House is a day in which prospective LCCC students and their supporters can visit LCCC's Cheyenne campus in-person!

This will be a true Open House experience, with attendees receiving the names and locations of Pathway activities, information sessions, and a variety of other campus exploration opportunities. From there, they are free to customize their visit by choosing the experiences they would most like to explore.

Can I bring guests or supporters?

Yes! Students are welcome to bring up to two supporters.

What should I bring?

• A notebook or device for notes
• Comfortable walking shoes to fully experience campus!

Will food be provided?

Yes! A FREE brunch at Talon's Table will be available for attendees and up to two of their supporters.

Attendees will also receive a 20% coupon to Layers Bagel & Sandwich Co. or Cafe 1968!

I will be traveling from outside of the Cheyenne area to attend Talon's Open House. What is there to do in Cheyenne while I'm visiting?

Cheyenne has something to offer everyone no matter the time of the year!

• Tour the Blue FCU Recreation & Athletic Complex
• Learn more about paying for college
• Receive assistance applying to LCCC
• Enjoy a FREE brunch at Talon's Table
• Attend the LCCC Golden Eagles volleyball game at 2:00 p.m. for FREE!

Is there a cost to attend?

No! Talon’s Open House is free to attend, and brunch is provided at no cost.

Do I need to be admitted to LCCC to attend?

No. You do not need to be admitted to LCCC to attend Talon’s Open House.

Who is eligible for the $1,000 scholarship?

To be eligible, students must:

• Have a 2027 start term (spring, summer, or fall)
• Be a degree-seeking student
