Questions & Answers
TEKCON is an immersive, hands-on technology festival designed to spark curiosity and build skills. Unlike a traditional lecture-based conference, TEKCON is built around "Technology Villages" that are interactive hubs where you can learn everything from cybersecurity and coding to hardware engineering and radio communications through direct experience.
The event is open to the public, but we ask that anyone under 16 be accompanied by an adult. Students in grades 7–12 who are interested in technology are especially encouraged to attend and compete for their school!
FREE. This event is free for everyone. Food and official TEKCON merchandise will be available for purchase throughout the day.
Check-in begins at 10:00 a.m. and runs through 5:30 p.m. The event officially concludes at 6:00 p.m. We recommend arriving early to ensure you have enough time to explore all the villages!
The TEKCON Championship is a high-energy competition where students and tech enthusiasts put their skills to the test. Participants earn points by completing challenges within the various villages; such as the RJ45 speed crimping, pc building or the Capture the Flag (CTF) challenge. The individuals or school teams with the highest scores at the end of the day are crowned the TEKCON Champions! They will be given a Trophy to display proudly at their school.
Sure! We want you to stay fueled for a full day of tech. We just ask that you keep all food and drinks in the designated break areas located outside of the technology villages to protect the equipment.
